Eastern White
More than a story, this is a visual testimony: a poetic archive of resilience, vulnerability, and the quiet strength that grows in the in-between spaces of identity.
Storyline
This Short Animated film is a personal project that aims to make the viewer experience a glimpse into the feelings, emotions and experiences that an Eastern European immigrant experiences. It is specifically about my memories, encounters, and personal bruises that I have encountered as a Romanian living and growing within UK through all the political shifts that Brexit, a pandemic and neighbouring war within my homeland. I made this film as a form of processing, healing and honouring the growth and the hardship that came with and due to changes in how I was perceived and affected due to phisically shifting environments and states of being or expressing myself.
