Cartagena de Indias, the walled city on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you think of rock. But beneath its sunlit streets and by the edge of the sea, an alternative music scene pulses with life. Bands move from punk to emo, from post-punk to goth, while a community keeps alive something deeper than sound: the chance to be free from prejudice, to belong, to connect, to be part of something unique. These are all our voices.
