Storyline

Yao Hong is an elite courtesan at a high-class brothel located in the International Settlement. She has rescued Su Qing, a female student who lost everything due to the outbreak of the Battle of Shanghai. As the Pearl Harbour attack took place, the invaders officially took over the International Settlement. An unexpected pregnancy befalls Yao Hong, and the dire conditions of wartime compel her to terminate the pregnancy. Su Qing helps closely with this life-threatening task as her sole companion.
